You can drive.  There is plenty of safe parking at Hafan-y-Coed.

You can come by train – to Neath station which is only a valley away from Hafan-y-Coed.  Ask about the cheapest fares including Wales and Borders because unless you ask you won’t be told.  

You can come by coach – to Neath (preferably) coach station or Swansea.
